A supportive and inclusive primary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs

Help pupils regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies

Support behaviour management in and out of the classroom

Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff and senior leaders

Promote positive behaviour, engagement and inclusion across the school

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

Have experience working with children with behavioural needs (school-based or similar setting)

Be calm, patient and consistent in your approach

Have strong communication and relationship-building skills

Be passionate about supporting children’s social and emotional development

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, youth workers, psychology graduates, or experienced Behaviour Mentors looking to build experience within a primary school setting.
