The Role – Behaviour Mentor

We are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join a fast paced PRU based in the heart of Hackney on a long term basis. As a Behaviour Mentor you will be required to support students with ASD, SEMH and challenging Behaviour on a 1:1 basis inside and outside of the classroom setting and also support them academically. For this Behaviour Mentor role you must have at least 1 years experience and ideally have Team Teach training although that is not essential. The ideal Behaviour Mentor will have a can do attitude, a flexible work ethic and go above and beyond to see students achieve their highest potential!

The School - Behaviour Mentor

This specialist vocational college and Pupil Referral Unit in Hackney supports learners from primary age to Year 11, many of whom are at risk of underachievement. Guided by the principle of “Learning to Succeed,” it focuses on removing barriers to learning and equipping students with the skills and confidence to progress back into mainstream education or move on to new settings.

With small class sizes, high levels of individual support, and a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, pupils are given the best opportunity to succeed. Primary and secondary learners are taught separately, while Key Stage 4 students follow tailored academic and vocational pathways aimed at achieving key qualifications, including English and Maths. Each student benefits from personalised targets and guidance for their next steps.

The college promotes an inclusive environment where diversity is valued and every learner is supported to reach their full potential.
