Pre-Construction Bid Manager – Construction\n\nNewcastle\nExcellent salary + car allowance + benefits\n\nPermanent | Established Main Contractor\n\nAre you a proven Bid Manager who can take full ownership of the tender process — from initial enquiry through to site handover?\nWe’re working with a long-standing, reputable main contractor with a strong presence across the North East, delivering a diverse range of projects across commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use sectors.\n\nAs part of their continued growth, they’re seeking an experienced and driven Pre-Construction Bid Manager to join their Newcastle office and lead the successful delivery of bids from start to finish.\n\nThe Role\n\nIn this pivotal role, you’ll manage the entire bid lifecycle — from initial opportunity review and strategy through to tender submission and project handover to the delivery team. You’ll coordinate all aspects of the pre-construction process, bringing together estimating, design, planning, and commercial input to produce competitive and compelling bids.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Lead and manage bids from first enquiry to site handover, ensuring quality and consistency throughout\n\n * Develop bid strategies in collaboration with Directors, Estimators, and Design Managers\n\n * Oversee preparation of tender documentation, PQQs, and technical submissions\n\n * Manage the bid programme, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved\n\n * Coordinate design, commercial, and operational teams to produce winning tenders\n\n * Facilitate client meetings, presentations, and post-tender negotiations\n\n * Support continuous improvement in the pre-construction process\n\nAbout You\n\nYou’ll be an experienced Bid Manager or Pre-Construction professional with the capability to manage complex bids from inception through to contract award and handover.
