About the team The Billing Solutions Architects (SA) team is a group of specialists with deep expertise in Stripe’s products and the broader subscription, billing, and payments industry. They solve complex customer problems, collaborate with sales teams, and provide strategic guidance to merchants. Their work supports revenue and pipeline goals, informs go‑to‑market strategy, and feeds product and engineering teams. What you’ll do You will be a key technical advisor and solutions expert, driving the adoption of our billing solutions with new and existing customers. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, product, and engineering to ensure successful customer go‑lives, influence product roadmap, and build deep relationships with customer stakeholders. Your primary focus will be expanding and strengthening Stripe’s presence in the EMEA region. Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert on billing and revenue recognition solutions. Architect elegant solutions that meet specific customer challenges, including complex integrations and customizations. Partner with sales and alliances teams to drive opportunities for large customers and lead solution strategy. Act as the voice of the customer, providing actionable insights to influence product development. Create best practices, reusable assets, and training materials to support go‑to‑market efficiency. Resolve complex technical issues for key customers with customer success and engineering teams. Represent technical aspects in sales forecasts, identify potential blockers, and propose solutions. Engage in marketing events, executive briefings, conferences, and trade shows. Develop deep understanding of EMEA market dynamics, regulatory environment, and business practices related to payments and billing solutions.

Who you are

10+ years of experience in technical sales/pre‑sales roles focused on solution architecture. 5+ years of current experience in payments, fintech, or a closely related industry. Strong technical acumen in API integrations, SaaS platforms, and enterprise architectures, especially order‑to‑cash processes and billing systems. Knowledge of regional compliance and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PSD2, and local tax laws. Extensive experience with subscription, billing, and payment solutions. Solid understanding of financial infrastructure industry trends and emerging technologies. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Executive presence and strong relationship‑building skills. Passion for customer success and advocacy of the customer voice. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office locations:
