About Criterion Capital

Criterion Capital is expanding its architectural design department and is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller & BIM Coordinator. This is a dual-role position offering the opportunity to play a key part in supporting Project Architects while shaping document control processes and BIM standards across a growing portfolio of projects.


The Role

This position combines document control and BIM management responsibilities, with a primary focus on supporting Project Architects by streamlining administrative and information management tasks. You will also play a crucial role in continuously reviewing, improving, and implementing document policies and BIM systems.


Key Responsibilities

Document Control

  • Maintain document systems, ensuring all files are accurate, up-to-date, and properly stored
  • Receive, review, and register incoming and outgoing documents (drawings, contracts, specifications, reports)
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, templates, and naming conventions
  • Distribute documents to stakeholders and track approvals and acknowledgements
  • Manage document workflows, including version control and revision tracking
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on document control procedures

BIM Coordination

  • Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards and execution plans across projects
  • Manage BIM workflows to ensure consistency and compliance with project requirements
  • Support project teams with BIM tasks such as model setup and clash detection
  • Mentor team members on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards including ISO 19650, PAS 1192, and COBie


Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Procore, SharePoint, EDMS platforms)
  • Extensive experience with Revit workflows, including model coordination, templates, and families
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with industry documentation standards
