Salter Grange is partnering with an innovative international Engineering company specialising in Mission-Critical projects across Europe and beyond, recruiting a BIM Engineer to join a busy Data Centre project in the Netherlands.



The ideal BIM Engineer will have a track record in project delivery and extensive knowledge of complex Mechanical and Electrical systems, preferably in Data Centres. This role offers a unique chance to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing business.



With a full order book for several years, this role offers significant opportunities for a capable BIM Engineer to contribute to the growth and expansion of the Business Unit.



BIM Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Assist the pre-construction team in analysing tender documentation—such as Works Information and Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR)—to determine the client's expectations regarding BIM and digital deliverables.
  • Conduct technical assessments of 3D BIM models submitted during the tender phase, focusing on model federation, engineering validation, clash detection, logistics planning, and cost estimation.
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of key project documents, including the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), and Model Production and Delivery Table (MPDT), ensuring all internal and external stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to develop, align, and present the 4D BIM model.
  • Create and manage visualisations and interactive 3D models to support project communication and planning.
  • Co-lead the Digital Project Delivery (DPD) kickoff meeting with the Information Manager, engaging the project management team to confirm and finalise the DPD strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support to BIM Engineers, offering mentorship as needed.



BIM Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in construction, computing or related discipline. Navisworks, Lumion, and other rendering software packages.
  • 3+ years of experience working on multi-disciplinary projects with BIM level 2 requirements
  • BIM Documentation experience is crucial for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with MS Office
