Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a key player in the UK's Biogas sector to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their site near Winchester. Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Engineer role
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will:
Carry out maintenance of the plant on motors, gearboxes, pumps, and associated pipework Manage maintenance contractors visiting the site, assisting with production of RAMS Work to and update pre-planned maintenance (PPM) schedules Log all jobs and liaise with the Plant Manager to ensure spare parts are available or on order Complete site safety checks and report any faults or breakdowns Perform daily fault-finding and diagnostics Assess the plant with a continuous improvement mindset to suggest operational enhancements Learn about and assist with running the biogas plant Attend call-outs as required Occasionally support other sites in the same region Perform other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Higher education in engineering (HNC/HND, Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or higher) UK driving licence Experience in anaerobic digestion, energy from waste, or a similar environment
