What you will do
Diagnose, repair, and maintain STERIS and competitor equipment used in surgical reprocessing: washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, steam generators, and cart washers—part of our core 160-device portfolio. Assist with installs and field upgrades on complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems. Own your schedule: plan PMs, service/warranty calls, and installation support across your assigned territory. Use modern tools to meet regulatory documentation requirements; escalate issues with Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management as needed. Present findings, pricing, and repair options to Customers; collaborate with Sales to enhance experience and uncover opportunities. Provide coverage to multiple sites within the territory based on service agreements and need.

What you bring
High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of work experience, with at least 2 years in a mechanical/technical role. Associate degree, technical certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military service may count toward technical experience. Valid driver’s license; ability to meet background and physical assessment requirements for vendor credentialing and hospital access. Customer-facing communication skills and a team mindset. Basic computer literacy (Windows, email, navigation, mobile apps, data entry across systems). Flexibility for early/late shifts and potential overnight travel as business and Customer needs arise. Compliance with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
Experience that translates well
HVAC repair, mechanics, general maintenance, refrigeration, boilers and chillers, equipment repair, diesel/automotive, aviation repair, plumbing, or electrical.

Compensation and details
Pay range: 54187.00 - 70125.00, plus eligibility for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign fluency, etc.
