TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent accountancy practice in the TW area that is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and close-knit team.

The practice works with a broad range of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and individuals, providing high-quality bookkeeping and advisory support.

The Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping and VAT services.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a variety of industries

Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries

Preparing and submitting VAT returns

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

Assisting with the preparation of management accounts

Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries

Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems and providing guidance where required

Assisting with year-end processes and working closely with the accounts team

Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies

RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will likely have:

Previous experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT processes

Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Confident communication skills and a client-focused approach

A proactive mindset with a willingness to support the wider team
