We act as the internal recruitment partner for a diverse group of businesses operating across commercial property, home screening products, aerial surveying, and self‑storage.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Bookkeeper to take responsibility for day‑to‑day transactional finance across two businesses. This is a hands‑on, office‑based role where accuracy, organisation, and proactive communication are key.

Working closely with our Group Management Accountant, you'll support bookkeeping, invoicing, purchase ledger, reconciliations, expense processing, and reporting tasks, helping to ensure smooth financial operations across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake daily bookkeeping and transactional finance tasks
Raise and issue sales invoices and credit notes
Carry out credit control activities to ensure timely income collection
Manage purchase orders for suppliers and subcontractors
Track expenditure against purchase orders and budgets
Reconcile company bank accounts and credit card statements
Process cross‑charging between group businesses and prepare related invoices
Manage staff expenses and ensure policy compliance
Prepare monthly and quarterly journals
Support expenditure and cashflow reporting
Administer quarterly rent and service charge income
Respond to finance‑related queries from internal colleagues
Liaise professionally with customers, suppliers, and partner businessesThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience (Ideally)
Ability to analyse financial data and interpret key information
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
Confident communication skills and a helpful, supportive manner
Good IT literacy, including Excel, Microsoft Office and accounting systems
Experience using Sage and/or Xero, with a willingness to learn other software
Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and work independently
AAT part‑qualified ideal, though all applicants with strong experience will be considered
