This forward-thinking practice provides tailored accountancy and tax advisory services to a broad client base, ranging from SMEs and OMB’s through to HNWI’s and international groups. The Role

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to join their friendly and collaborative team. This is a varied, client-facing role offering exposure to a diverse portfolio across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

Day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including invoice processing and bank reconciliations

Reviewing bookkeeping work prepared by junior team members

Reconciling control accounts and posting monthly payroll journals

Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts

Preparing and submitting VAT returns under a range of VAT schemes

Preparing and filing monthly CIS returns

Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and manage submissions

Providing Xero training and support to clients

Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

Recent and relevant bookkeeping experience within practice

Strong experience with VAT returns and control account reconciliations

Experience preparing management accounts (or a clear desire to develop in this area)

AAT qualified (ideally)

Xero certified

Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook

A proactive team player who can also work independently and meet deadlines

Benefits

Salary circa £28,000 - £36,000, dependent on experience and qualifications (negotiable)

Full study support available, if required

23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing annually up to 28 days post-qualification
