As the Building and Construction UK Buyer, you will be responsible for executing the procurement strategy, managing complex projects, and developing a best-in-class supplier network to support the company's ambitious growth plans.In this position, the Building and Construction UK Buyer will be accountable for:- Implementing the procurement strategy and leading cross-functional project teams to deliver national and international procurement initiatives.- Negotiating, establishing, and implementing framework contracts to secure the company's long-term supply needs.- Conducting the procurement process in compliance with the company's policies and procedures, ensuring full customer satisfaction.- Driving initiatives to optimise costs, standardise requirements, and improve supplier performance.- Providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support the company's procurement and savings programs.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:- Extensive experience in strategic procurement, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and supplier relationships.- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments.- Proficiency in data analysis and performance management, ensuring the delivery of measurable results.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.- Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.This is a contract position lasting until a minimum of Feb 2027.
