Protecting People, Places, and Performance

Are you ready to take the lead on building safety across a critical and high-profile estate?

Our client are seeking a proactive, expert, and influential Building Safety Manager to ensure our clients workplaces are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose — now and for the future.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind safety governance, inspections, and compliance across our clients entire property portfolio.

You’ll:

  • Deliver a programme of audits, inspections, and risk assessments with a sharp eye for hazards and opportunities to improve.
  • Advise on construction safety, mechanical & electrical services, and CDM regulations — influencing at every level.
  • Lead high-profile safety projects and campaigns that make a tangible difference to the wellbeing of our people.
  • Manage investigations, work closely with contractors, and ensure lessons are learned and applied across the Force.
  • Keep our safety systems, policies, and procedures ahead of legislative changes and industry best practice.

You’ll be working with senior leaders, health & safety specialists, and operational colleagues to embed a culture of safety excellence. This is not a back-office compliance role — it’s a hands-on, highly visible position where your expertise will directly protect lives and keep essential services running.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Membership of IOSH or similar professional body.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in construction or civil engineering safety.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel across Kent and work flexibly as needed.

What we’re looking for:

You’ll need in-depth knowledge of health & safety legislation, proven experience in building/construction safety, and the confidence to lead, influence, and engage with stakeholders at all levels. If you’re an innovative safety professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
