Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Building Services Manager with a mechanical bias to join a well-established Tier 2 main contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects in Oxford.
This role offers the ideal balance of office-based work and hands-on site involvement, allowing you to focus on validating tenders, value engineering, evaluating M&E subcontractors, and reviewing technical submittals, while spending around 30% of your time on-site overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities:
\n
Review, prepare, and check technical submittals .
\n
Validate tenders and support value engineering exercises .
\n
Evaluate M&E subcontractors and manage supply chain compliance.
\n
Review on-site technical submittals and oversee install, testing, and commissioning .
\n
Produce reports and ensure commercial and technical risks are mitigated.
\n
You’ll need:
\n
Proven experience as a Building Services Manager on commercial projects.
\n
Strong mechanical engineering / building services background .
\n
Excellent knowledge of M&E systems, subcontractor management, and tender evaluation.
\n
Ability to split time between office-based management and site presence.
\n
Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
\n
