Job Title: Building Services Technician – Electrical or Mechanical Multi-Skilled
Location: London
Purpose of the Job
• To maintain and operate all mechanical and electrical systems across a high-profile site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and uptime.
• To deliver planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, heating, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• To monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS), ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
• To contribute to a team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, heating, plumbing, and life safety equipment.
• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all systems operate reliably.
• Monitor, report, and adjust the Building Management System (BMS) as required.
• Manage equipment, tools, and consumable stock, ensuring availability for ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and site regulations.
• Complete accurate logs, reports, and handovers for all works performed.
• Support shift operations in a 4 on / 4 off rota, covering early and late shifts:
– 2 x Day shifts: 07:00 – 17:30
– 2 x Late shifts: 16:00 – 02:00
• Participate in training, refresher courses, and professional development.
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
• Level 3 City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in electrical or mechanical building services.
• Relevant safety and technical certifications desirable, including PAF, PASMA, IOSH, L8, CSCS.
• Experience maintaining M&E systems and BMS in complex buildings.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must live within the M25 and be able to travel to the site efficiently.

• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern – early and late shifts
• Salary: £53,403 (under review to ~£55,200)
• 22 days annual leave
• Double pension contribution up to 10% after probation
• Uber home after 2am shifts for M25

Accountabilities
• Accountable to the Site Supervisor / Engineering Manager.
• No direct line management responsibility.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of all site systems.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction
