We’re entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for a Business Development Executive to play a key role in expanding our footprint and winning new business.


The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities through a strategic and consultative approach.


This is a hybrid role combining office-based work with client-facing meetings, where you’ll be building relationships and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.


You’ll take ownership of the early to mid-stages of the sales cycle—from prospecting through to qualified opportunity handover—working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients.


What You’ll Be Doing

·      Identifying and targeting new business opportunities across multiple sectors

·      Developing and executing strategic sales plans to generate new revenue

·      Conducting face-to-face meetings with prospective clients (travel required)

·      Building strong relationships with key decision-makers

·      Understanding client needs and presenting tailored utilities and waste solutions

·      Managing the early to mid-stages of the sales cycle – working closely with the sales team to pass on qualified opportunities

·      Collaborating with sales, marketing, and internal teams to maximise opportunities

·      Maintaining accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM systems

·      Representing Stadia Utilities professionally in meetings, events, and networking opportunities

·      Providing insight and feedback to help shape commercial strategy


What We’re Looking For

·      Proven experience in business development, field sales, or B2B sales

·      Experience in the utilities or energy sector (preferred but not essential)

·      Comfortable managing your own pipeline and working autonomously

·      Strong track record of winning new business and hitting revenue targets

·      Confident in client-facing environments with excellent interpersonal skills

·      Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers

·      Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven mindset

·      Strong organisational and time management skills

·      Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)

·      Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business
