Prolight Direct is a specialist lighting supplier to the film, television, photography, and creative media industries. We provide premium lighting solutions to productions, rental houses and resellers of all scales — from independent shoots, ecommerce resellers to major studio projects.

As the UK arm of a growing, innovative-led lighting business, we are building a UK team that combines deep industry knowledge with modern commercial thinking, alongside a willingness to embrace AI-powered tools and workflows.


About the Role

Based at our west London premises, this is a role spanning business development, account management, sales, and marketing. We are looking for a commercially minded, creatively connected individual to help expand our presence across the film, TV, photography, and wider creative industries.

This is not a typical sales role. You will sit within the Sales team at the heart of the production ecosystem—building relationships with the people who make things happen, from gaffers, rental houses, production companies and resellers. You will also implement and leverage AI-powered tools to work more efficiently, accelerate growth, and uncover new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across film, TV, photography, podcasting, corporate, content creators, and emerging creative sectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with rental houses, production companies, lighting professionals, resellers, and key decision-makers
  • Help Manage the full sales pipeline, from lead generation through to close, with clear reporting on activity and revenue
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving production technology to identify commercial opportunities
  • Represent Prolight Direct at trade shows, industry events, and on-set visits


Marketing Operations & Messaging

  • Translate corporate and manufacturer brand messaging into compelling Prolight Direct communications, ensuring consistency across all channels
  • Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns aligned with commercial goals and seasonal production cycles
  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), influencers, and respected voices within the creative industries
  • Manage Prolight Direct’s presence across relevant platforms, communities, and industry bodies (e.g. GTC)
  • Collaborate with Global partners on co-branded campaigns, product launches, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations


AI & Innovation

  • Adopt and champion AI-powered tools to enhance research, outreach, reporting, and day-to-day productivity
  • Identify opportunities where AI and automation can streamline commercial and sales workflows
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within a fast-moving, modern business


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in business development, account management, sales, or marketing—ideally within film, TV, photography, or the wider creative/media industries
  • A strong understanding of production workflows, from pre-production through to on-set delivery
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage sales activity, marketing projects, and account delivery simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust across creative, commercial, and technical teams
  • Confidence and curiosity in adopting AI tools and emerging technologies
  • A self-starter mindset, with the ability to take ownership and drive results in a growing business


 Bonus Points

  • An existing network across production, rental, broadcast, or content creator communities
  • Experience adapting corporate marketing messaging for specific brands or markets
  • Hands-on experience with events, product demonstrations, or trade show management
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, or AI productivity platforms
