A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation is looking for a business development manager - field sales to sell their road freight services only. The role entails hunting for leads and new business.

ROLE: BDM - Road FreightLOCATION: Essex covering the South East regionBASIC SALARY: £40k to £50kCOMMISSION: AnnuallyCAR ALLOWANCE: £700 PCMBENEFITS: 25 days holiday, pension, life assurance.
ROLE:

To generate you own leads & win new business and work to agreed budget targets in line with the company growth strategy.
To strengthen market position by locating, developing, defining, promoting, negotiating, and securing new business by closing the sale.
Develop and maintain Road services to existing and potential clients ensuring a profitable return for the company.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Proven commercial sales experience with a focus in international groupage services or UK domestic distribution. Must have some road freight sales experience, minimum one year.
Excellent understanding of the international groupage market or UK domestic distribution.
Strong business development skills alongside relationship building skills.
Self-starter, able to think quickly, plan and act independently
A result orientated, hardworking, self- starter who has a good understanding of the industry with strong closing skills.
Excellent interpersonal & administration skills with accurate pipeline forecasting. xbpsjku
Ability to communicate at all levels within the business, good persuasive, and negotiation skills.
