Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will focus on expanding our presence in both public and commercial sector, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior staff members at existing clients and industry partners.
Proposal Development:
Support on the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new contracts and projects.
Compliance:
Ensure all business development activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Market Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the public sector and commercial energy market.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets and expand market share.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful development of new and current business and customer satisfaction.
Reporting:
Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, progress, and outcomes to senior management.
Skills and Experience:
Proven track record in business development or sales within energy brokers/TPIs, preferably with a focus on public sector clients.
Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable energy solutions, and decarbonisation strategies.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing and securing high-value contracts.
Familiarity with funding mechanisms, procurement processes, public sector frameworks, and relevant regulations.
Understanding and experience of responding to tenders from public or private sector.
