Business Development Manager - Energy

My client is a fast-growing utilities business based in the Bury area. As a result of growth this is a newly created role that will offer development and progression to the right person. Experience of the energy sector is vital for this role.
The primary function of this role is developing new and existing leads. The role forms part of the Sales team who are responsible for generating sales through first class customer service.
Responsibilities
* Assist with and support the team’s acquisition and renewal strategy
* Promote products and services
* Develop undeveloped accounts
* Support key accounts (where directed to)
* Identify new business opportunities
* Work with account managed third parties where needed to maximise sales potential
* Handle escalations/complexities/complaints from clients and/or TPIs
* Review and recommend TPI payment terms to management
* Manage the onboarding process
* Attend and organise client hospitality events
* Attend internal or external meetings with new and established
* Help launch new flexible procurement contracts and sell “baskets”

* Good arithmetic and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to present at Board level
* Experience of operating in a fast-paced working environment
* Minimum five years industry experience
* Minimum two years sales management experience
The right candidate for this role will also have experience in the energy sector working within Gas or Electricity.

£40,000 - £60,000 /annum Plus Bens
