Business Development Manager - Freight

A major UK & International freight forwarder is looking to add an experienced Road and Sea freight BDM to their business development team. The role is to generate your own leads and close deals face to face increasing the road and sea freight client base, thus revenue of the company. ROLE: BDM: Road & Sea Freight
LOCATION: Hampshire & The South
BASIC SALARY: Excellent dependent upon experience

Establish own leads and target
customers
via telesales and/or email
campaigns. Arrange sales meetings with prospective customers and close deals face to face - road and sea freight clients. Proactively contact new customers according to targets mutually set & agreed with line
Manager. Actively sell and promote all the company
s services once contact has been made. Prepare any quotations as required by the customer and follow up as
necessary. Maintain an up-to-date record of the above four requirements and submit to line manager in report form on a weekly basis. Proactive, professional & first-class customer service at all times. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: MUST POSSESS ROAD AND SEA FREIGHT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OR SALES EXPERIENCE.
