Business Development Manager - Freight

A major UK & International freight forwarder is looking to add an experienced Road and Sea freight BDM to their business development team. The role is to generate your own leads and close deals face to face increasing the road and sea freight client base, thus revenue of the company. ROLE: BDM: Road & Sea Freight LOCATION: Hampshire & The South BASIC SALARY: Excellent dependent upon experience BENEFITS: Company car/Allowance, commission/Bonus, Pension, etc ROLE: Establish own leads and target customers via telesales and/or email campaigns. Arrange sales meetings with prospective customers and close deals face to face - road and sea freight clients. Proactively contact new customers according to targets mutually set & agreed with line Manager. Actively sell and promote all the company s services once contact has been made. Prepare any quotations as required by the customer and follow up as necessary. Maintain an up-to-date record of the above four requirements and submit to line manager in report form on a weekly basis.
