Business Development Manager – Materials Handling Equipment\n\n Location: South Midlands\n Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Basic - £60,000 – £80,000+ OTE (Uncapped)\n\n The Role\n We are recruiting for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the South Midlands region.\n Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role is heavily focused on new business generation, identifying growth opportunities, and consistently delivering and exceeding Materials Handling Equipment sales targets and KPIs.\n This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a target-driven environment and enjoys building new customer relationships.\n\n What’s on Offer\n\n£50,000 – £60,000 basic salary\n£80,000+ OTE (uncapped commission)\nCompany car\n26 days annual leave\nEstablished leadership structure and strong internal support networkKey Responsibilities\n\nAchieve agreed annual sales targets for new, used, and materials handling equipment\nProactively generate new business leads and opportunities through market research and prospecting\nManage product and service mix, pricing, and margins in line with agreed objectives\nPlan and manage a personal sales portfolio within the assigned territory\nDemonstrate products and services to prospective and existing customers\nAdvise customers on solutions best suited to their operational needs\nBuild, maintain, and develop long-term customer relationships\nFollow up post-delivery to ensure satisfaction and identify further opportunities\nSupport continuous improvement of sales processes\nConsistently demonstrate company values of Integrity, Courage, Collaboration, and ExcellenceAbout You\n\nProven success in sales, account management, or business development\nExperience within the forklift, materials handling, plant, access, or capital equipment sector (or a closely related technical sales environment)\nStrong new business focus with a proactive, self-motivated approach\nComfortable working to targets and KPIs\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills\nExperience in forklift or materials handling equipment sales is advantageous but not essential\nCandidates from capital equipment or technical sales backgrounds are encouragedHow to Apply:\nIf you're an experienced Business Development Manager within the FLT/MHE industry and ready to take the next step with a well-established company apply now.
