Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experience Business Development Manager who can Identify new opportunities within trade finance, treasury and loans syndication for our banking client consultancy markets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow trade finance lines of business outside of the expanding team including discounting of trade finance instruments and risk participation with other banks.
- Provide support and cover for the Consultant – Business Development to develop and grow trade finance lines of business within.
- Manage the bank’s exposures within approved limits. Sell down effectively and efficiently any transactions required to keep exposures within limits, while maximising pricing.
- Manage the process with the oil LC, including liaising with potential confirming banks in an efficient and timely manner, while maximising pricing.
- Identify new business opportunities in line with the approved risk appetite, risk profile of the Bank’s strategy and to market the Bank’s services appropriately. In respect of achievable business opportunities to seek and recommend all relevant risk limits required to undertake the proposed business.
- Achieve budgets set.
- Use the list of authorised limits, both for countries and financial institutions, in the development of marketing plans and bring about increased utilisation of limits where possible.
- Identify new market counterparties to participate in transactions.
- Identify alternative and new funding USD solutions.
- Ensure that all information, including the Bank’s, is handled and managed in a strictly confidential manner.
- As ‘Certification Staff’, ensure the Bank’s AML, counter terrorist financing, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption and fraud prevention, complaint handling and treating your customer fairly policies, procedures and together with other regulated regulatory guidelines are adhered to at all times by the Business Development Department’s personnel.
- As ‘Certification Staff’, ensure the policies and procedures for the Senior Managers and Certification Regimes and Conduct Rules requirements are adhered to by the Business Development Department at all times.
Experience & Skills required:
- At least 5 years Trade Finance and FI business development and relationship management.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
