JOB SCOPE

The Wholesale Business Development Manager (Amenity Retail and Non-Spa Partnerships) is responsible for driving the growth of Wildsmith’s non-spa channel across hotels, luxury accommodations, corporate partners, distributors, retailers, and strategic amenity-led accounts. The role focuses on identifying, securing, and nurturing high-quality partnerships that align with Wildsmith’s brand values while expanding the brand’s presence within hospitality and experience-focused environments.

The postholder will develop the annual wholesale strategy, manage key relationships, ensure brand excellence across all touchpoints, and collaborate closely with internal teams to execute partner activations and brand-building initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and deliver a market-by-market strategy for partnerships globally, aligned with Wildsmith’s commercial objectives.
  • Produce and manage the annual non-spa sales budget, monitoring performance with the Head of Finance to ensure delivery of revenue targets.
  • Identify territory-specific opportunities across hotels, residencies, luxury travel groups, retail, and corporate amenity channels.
  • Analyse market trends within hospitality and lifestyle sectors to ensure Wildsmith’s amenity offer remains competitive, relevant, and desirable.

Business Development

  • Strategically target and approach suitable partners that align with Wildsmith values and brand positioning.
  • Evaluate opportunities for financial value, strategic fit, long-term growth, and risk minimisation.
  • Use personal and company networks, proactive research, trade events, hospitality forums, and industry relationships to cultivate high-value prospects.
  • Lead end-to-end negotiations, engaging key internal stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Prepare financial projections, pricing proposals, and commercial scenarios for new partnerships.
  • Host partner visits and experiences—including on the Heckfield Estate—to support relationship building and conversion.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the General Manager on tools and resources required to accelerate channel growth.

Account Management

  • Build, manage, and elevate excellent relationships with all partners through regular contact, visits, training sessions, and touchpoints.
  • Lead relationships with key existing partners including Dorchester Collection, Auberge and Shine Boulevard.
  • Evaluate existing partnerships, identifying areas for optimisation, expansion, or improvement.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure all partners receive exceptional service and operational support.
  • Lead the onboarding and launch processes for all new accounts.
  • Ensure Wildsmith brand standards are upheld across all partner properties—products, collateral, display, guest experience, and education.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure partners receive timely product updates, launch materials, brand assets, and alignment with the global marketing calendar.
  • Integrate initiatives into partner marketing plans and support joint promotional activity.

Brand Partnerships & Activation

  • Work closely with Marketing to build programmes that activate, celebrate, and maximise partner communities—expanding Wildsmith’s audience through luxury hospitality networks.
  • Lead relationships and activations with strategically important amenity partners, ensuring all activity reflects Wildsmith’s values and commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and community.
  • Support Wildsmith’s sustainability commitments, including ongoing work with FuturePlus to improve ESG impact across climate, diversity, inclusion, social, economic, and environmental areas.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the beauty and lifestyle industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver market-by-market partnership strategies, aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Strong track record in business development, including identifying, securing, and nurturing high-value partnerships (hotels, luxury accommodations, corporate partners, retailers, distributors).
  • Experience in account management, including onboarding, relationship building, and optimisation of existing partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to prepare financial projections, pricing proposals, and commercial scenarios.
  • Collaborative approach, comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment as part of a small team.
  • Brand ambassador mindset, ensuring all touchpoints are protected and in line with the creative vision.
