Serving some of the largest brands across the automotive, retail, engineering and parcelsectors, we have an outstanding reputation for the secure delivery of time critical movements.Withinnovative tech and data-driven solutions at the heart of everything we do, we are poised forconsiderable growth.A key role within our Commercial team, this position is based full-time at our Head Office in Tamworth.Purpose of the roleKey deliverables will be developing pipeline opportunities that deliver revenue and margin targets whilst strengthening customer relationships which ensure Crowns alignment with their objectives.These are exciting times for Crown with a clear strategic roadmap to develop the business over the next three years. Duties and Responsibilities:Building, Converting and closing new business pipeline opportunitiesResearch, Identify and generate new business opportunities using internet, business directories, existing database and additional channels where appropriateProducing robust business plans that exceed sales and profit targetsDealing with new business enquiries and driving sales forwardBuilding a detailed understanding of potential customers, markets and competitorsPreparing proposals and quotations for new customersOwnership of response to tender enquiriesEnsure effective implementation of all new customer accountsCollaborate with Marketing to develop sector/industry specific marketing campaigns/propositionsEffective liaison and communication with other departments and teams, especially the Operations Team. Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the businessApplicant Criteria:Experience in the Logistics industry desiredMinimum Three years successful Business Development experienceExperience of consultative selling across multiple sectorsExperience of working with and achieving monthly/quarterly sales targets Demonstrate achievement of selling on a B2B and B2C basisAbility to negotiate at senior / C suite levelResilience, perseverance and excellent commercial awarenessHighly organised and able to work well under pressureHigh level of proficiency with IT skills, e.g. Excel & PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective collaborative team memberGenerates enthusiasm and has a positive attitude to change.Ability to self-manage and act on own initiativeWell presented, articulate with excellent time managementMust have flexibility in regards working hours.
