Job Description

Our client, a leading global manufacturer supplying major retailers, home‑improvement chains, and specialist dealers, is seeking several Business Development Manager to drive growth and development of sales of premium range of window blinds, shades and shutters, the role focuses on identifying, nurturing, and converting new prospective customers while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing accounts. - Attractive bonus to be made.


Key Responsibilities

● Proactively identify and research prospective customers.

● Develop and execute strategies to nurture leads through targeted outreach,

presentations, demonstrations, and relationship-building activities.

● Convert prospects into active customers by presenting product ranges, highlighting

customer service credentials, negotiating terms, to achieve or exceed sales targets.


Account Management & Relationship Development

● Regularly visit and engage with existing customers to maintain strong relationships,

understand their needs, and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and

increased order volumes.

● Provide ongoing support, product training, and advice to help customers grow their

businesses.

● Monitor account performance, address any issues promptly, and implement actions

to maximise retention and sales growth.


Sales & Performance Management

● Plan and optimise travel routes and schedules to maximise time in front of customers

and prospects (effective journey planning).

● Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to directors, owners,

and key decision-makers.

● Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts confidently, with a strong focus on achieving

monthly/quarterly targets.

● Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and pipeline using CRM or

sales systems.

● Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.

● Gather customer feedback to inform product development, marketing, and service

improvements.


Reporting & Administration

● Produce regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior

management.

● Handle administrative tasks efficiently, including expense reporting, order processing

support, and documentation.


Essential Criteria

● 3+ years' proven experience in a fast-paced, target-driven B2B sales role (ideally

within window coverings, blinds, shutters, home improvement, or related interiors

sector).

● Demonstrable success in developing new business, nurturing leads, and

achieving/exceeding sales targets.

● Strong journey planning and time management skills to optimise field-based

productivity.

● Ambitious, self-motivated, and driven to succeed in a performance-oriented

environment.

● Ability to work independently with high levels of initiative and accountability.

● Full UK driving licence
