Our client, a well-established hotel specialising in the MICE sector, is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. They are a renowned player in the UK's hospitality sector, known for their expertise in delivering exceptional MICE experiences and offer a range of versatile spaces and tailored services to cater to the unique needs of their clients. As the Business Development Manager , you will be responsible for driving the company's MICE sales growth by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This pivotal role will see you research and define key industry types within the UK, develop strategies to target these sectors, and work closely with internal teams to maximise sales lead conversion. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in proactively sourcing new leads, developing business opportunities and aligning sales efforts with budget targets across the UK market which will directly contribute to the company's revenue growth and market positioning. Key Responsibilities: Proactively source new leads for direct corporate business and develop opportunities through targeted research Define key industry types within the UK and align new business development efforts with budget targets Conduct client visits, arrange and host FAM trips and client showrounds to showcase the company's offerings Engage in telesales activities to generate new business and maximise sales lead opportunities for MICE sales Uncover new business potential, manage and build relationships with key clients to drive long-term partnerships Attend networking events, trade shows and exhibitions to promote the company's services and identify new leads Support the reactive team with show rounds and enquiry conversion to ensure seamless client experiences Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive set and market trends to inform sales strategies Track and manage accounts, complete reports, and maintain/source corporate rate agreements What Theyre Looking For: Previous experience in a sales Business Development role, preferably within the hospitality or MICE sector Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with clients at all levels Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders Results-driven mindset with a positive, proactive attitude and a passion for sales Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills Benefits: Performance-based bonus Free car parking Staff, friends and family rates Life Assurance Wellbeing & retail discount platform Long service awards Training and development This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected brand, shape future business opportunities and be part of a passionate and collaborative team driving success across the UK.
