Are you an experienced sales professional within building materials or construction products, looking to take ownership of a high‑value region? We’re recruiting a Business Development Manager to join a well‑established builders merchant with a strong reputation and a loyal customer base across Yorkshire.

What you’ll be doing

Managing and growing key accounts, including some of the company’s top‑performing customers
Developing new business opportunities across SME builders and national house builders
Upselling a wide portfolio of building materials and construction products
Building long-lasting relationships through regular face‑to‑face client visits
Keeping up to date with industry trends, product developments, and competitor activity
Ensuring accurate CRM updates and providing reports to senior management
Working collaboratively with multiple branches to support customer needs
What we’re looking for

Experience within a builders merchant OR the construction products / building materials sector
A proven background in sales, ideally selling into house builders, SMEs, or contractors
Someone commercially driven, customer‑focused, and confident managing a busy regional territory
Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to win and grow accounts
