This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing sales professional to drive revenue growth by securing new business through solution-led engagement with senior decision-makers.This role is ideal for a proactive hunter who thrives in a field-based environment, managing medium-term sales cycles and converting warm and hot leads into commercially significant opportunities. The mission of this role is to drive revenue growth within an allocated territory by onboarding new clients through professional, solution-led engagement with senior decision-makers.The Business Development Manager is a pure hunter, converting qualified leads into strategic opportunities. You will spend 6080% of your time externally, managing project-based sales cycles typically lasting three to four months through to the agreement of Supply Agreements, Heads of Terms, and formal contracts. This is not a transactional sales role. Once a customer is onboarded, all ongoing account management and administration is handed to internal teams, allowing you to focus entirely on pipeline development and securing new business. Success is measured by new customer acquisition and territory revenue growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOwning and executing the new-business growth strategy for your territory Identifying, qualifying, and pursuing high-quality prospects aligned with strategic goals Leading the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to commercial agreement and contract sign-off Developing tailored, solution-based proposals aligned with customer needs and project requirements Managing medium-term sales cycles, maintaining momentum and stakeholder engagement throughout Negotiating Heads of Terms, Supply Agreements, and commercial frameworks in collaboration with internal teams Representing the organisation professionally in senior-level, face-to-face and virtual meetings Working closely with Internal Sales Executives to ensure smooth handovers once deals are secured Providing clear post-appointment and post-contract handovers to enable seamless onboarding Collaborating with sales, NPD, and operational teams to share market insights and customer intelligence Maintaining a strong, forward-looking pipeline of qualified opportunities In addition to your core duties, you will:Represent the organisation professionally with customers, prospects, and external partners Operate with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and commercial judgement Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and handover of new customers Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity, pipeline data, and forecasts Act in line with company values, policies, and governance requirementProactively contribute ideas and insights to support continuous improvement and commercial growth Undertake any other reasonable duties aligned with the nature and level of the role Key Skills and AttributesProven experience in new-business, hunter-led sales within B2B, solution-based, or contract-led environments Strong ability to manage medium-term sales cycles from initial contact through to contract close Confidence engaging and influencing senior decision-makers across multiple stakeholders Commercial acumen with experience negotiating Heads of Terms, Supply Agreements, and contractual frameworks Expertise in consultative, solution-led selling rather than transactional sales High levels of self-motivation, resilience, and autonomy in a field-based role Strategic thinking with the ability to build and prioritise a high-quality sales pipeline Excellent communication and presentation skills, both face-to-face and virtual A collaborative mindset with the ability to hand over business seamlessly to internal teams Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time, activity, and forecasting effectively Bottom of FormJBRP1_UKTJ
