Business Development Manager-Public Sector

We are looking for a Business Development Manager - TPI Public Sector Sales to join our rapidly expanding and award-winning business sales team.

This is a field-based role, engaging at a senior level, focused on expanding Ecotricity’s Third Party Intermediary (TPI) channel for the Public Sector in line with growth forecasts. The role involves account management for existing and new TPIs, including energy consultants, brokers, and intermediaries.

The Business Development Manager will collaborate with credit, finance, operational, and customer service teams to ensure financial health and excellent customer management. The role also influences the wider B2B sales strategy, aiming to maximize sales efficiencies and introduce new products and services.

This varied, challenging, and rewarding role requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve sales targets aligned with the B2B plan.
  2. Develop and support the Public Sector TPI portfolio, supporting organizational change.
  3. Seek new framework agreements proactively.
  4. Maintain compliance and conduct regular contract reviews.
  5. Build strong relationships with partners to deliver excellent customer service.
  6. Prepare quotations for Gas and Power contracts, from tender to negotiation.
  7. Collaborate with the Team Manager and other departments to promote the brand and new products.
  8. Innovate to expand the customer base and support product launches.
  9. Provide aftersales support and attend client meetings and events.
  10. Play a key role in new business pitches and contract registration.
  11. Work towards KPIs and utilize business reporting tools.
