Business Development Support Executive – Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated, personable, and highly organised Business Development Support Executive to join a friendly, fast-paced office team in Bedford.
This is a phone-based role focused on appointment booking and lead management rather than consultative selling. You will enjoy a varied position with autonomy, while playing a key role in supporting the wider sales and marketing function.
As a Business Development Support Executive, you will be responsible for outbound calling, appointment setting, CRM management, and supporting marketing campaigns and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities
* Conduct 4–6 hours of outbound telemarketing calls daily (approx. 50 calls / 2 appointments per day)
* Book qualified appointments for field sales representatives
* Manage telemarketing administration, including sending catalogues, letters, and sample packs
* Maintain and update CRM systems, including generating call lists and tracking activity
* Carry out lead generation and research, identifying key decision-makers and contact details
* Support email campaigns, follow-ups, and bespoke copywriting
* Produce regular reports on calls, appointments, and conversion rates
In this role, you will play a key part in improving team efficiency and contributing to overall business growth.
Ideal Candidate
* Outgoing and personable, with the ability to build rapport quickly
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and organised
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Comfortable working in a high-volume, phone-based environment
* Previous experience in telemarketing, call centre, or appointment setting is advantageous
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* Keen to develop a long-term career with progression opportunities
