Job Description

What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented person to join our Corporate Tax Department in Bristol which is responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients. We are looking for a Senior Manager in this team.

As a Tax Senior Manager your responsibilities will include among others

• Managing your own portfolio of clients, working with Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A significant part of the role will be business development of existing and new clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise
• Undertake corporate tax provisioning, compliance, and advisory work for your portfolio and give notable client service and be responsible for maintaining regular contact with client teams.
• Ensuring company procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant as well as ensuring department KPi's are met around billing and recovery targets
• Managing and mentoring more junior members of the team providing advice and guidance where necessary

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should

• Significant corporate tax experience gained within the profession and/or industry
• Technically capable tax adviser who is up to take with current legislation and ability to assist in highly detailed client work
• Display experience of mentoring people and clients
• Ability to develop business development skills to assist with the growth of the business

Professional Qualifications and Education

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) and/or tax advisor (CTA)
