Pay & Benefits As Butcher (De-boner):
Basic Rate: £14.27 to £16.25 | Overtime: £21.33/hr (after 40 hours). Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks, accrued at 12.07%.
Key Responsibilities As Butcher (De-boner):
Breaking carcasses down from whole to primals using a band-saw or knife.
Follow customer specification standards.
Maintain yields and quality standards.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (e.g., Dropped Meat Policy).
Ensure knife safety training and guidelines are followed.
Correct cleaning and storage of knives and PPE at all times.
Full compliance with all SOPs.
General knife duties.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday (potential weekend work). Shifts: 06:00–14:30 or 15:15–23:45. 30-minute unpaid break.
Compliance Note:
All roles require completion of Right-to-Work checks and adherence to GLAA standards. PPE and health & safety training will be provided on site.
