Materials Buyer – Surrey

A new opportunity has just opened up for a Materials Buyer with one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, based in Woking, Surrey

This is a well-established, highly regarded housebuilder with around 10 live sites across the Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire regions. They have a busy year ahead and are looking for a Materials Buyer to work over all live projects.

Your role as Materials Buyer will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and have assistance from an Assistant Material Buyer.

Some examples of daily tasks;

Scheduling and ordering materials Placing materials and plant orders with suppliers Managing budgets and monitoring spend Working closely with site teams for call-offs Supporting smooth supply chain operations across live developments What skills can you bring?

Proven experience needed as a Materials Buyer (construction/housebuilding) Comfortable managing orders, suppliers, and budgets Good communication skills — you’ll be dealing with site teams and suppliers daily COINS experience is helpful but not essential (training available) Used to working in a hybrid role from office, sites and home What you can expect as Material Buyer
