Buyer required by highly successful global manufacturing company, based in Coleford.
The successful Buyer will be responsible for purchasing of materials for production and management of supplier relationships.
Main Duties: Buyer
- Placing of purchase orders for components for production and for other goods and services.
- Monitoring of orders and expediting when necessary.
- Negotiation of best prices and favourable payment terms.
- Monitoring of supplier quality and conducting audits.
- Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
- Providing management data for reporting.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Buyer
- A background in a similar purchasing or supply chain role, ideally gained in a manufacturing or engineering or equivalent environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet project deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to build and maintain business relationships with ease. xbpsjku
- Proficient with Microsoft office and MRP/ERP systems
