Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading aerospace organisation to recruit a Buyer for an initial 18 month contract based in Cambridge. There is a rate of £18-£22 PAYE per hour on offer for the successful candidate dependant on experience. Your main activities will include the following: Supporting the Senior Buyer Performing routine day-to-day activities associated with the products and services administering and expediting purchase orders Managing MRP requirements to satisfy production schedules and implementation of appropriate recovery plans. Shortage reporting and resolution Receiving Bills of Materials and carrying out system checks on materials and services to be supplied to projects and shipping requirements. Negotiating with suppliers obtaining best price and lead times, resolving any supply chain issues Liaising with customers/ suppliers to respond to routine queries regarding contract and supply chain issues. Providing input to project meetings to answer questions concerning contract/supply chain matters. Monitoring and measuring process performance producing regular and accurate management information/reports as required. Adhering to a range of standard procedures and precedents to solve problems which arise, with instruction direction and guidance available from others
