Job Title: Purchasing Specialist / Buyer

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Responsibilities


  • Ensure the timely and efficient procurement of goods, services, and equipment in alignment with the company’s needs and objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Create, track, and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that arise in the procurement process.
  • Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.


Skills & Experience required


  • Relevant experience in procurement of both goods and services, particularly in environments where compliance with industry standards is critical.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and the ability to coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control, budgeting, and identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality.
  • Experienced user of SAP
  • Contract & Negotiation skills
