Our client designs manufacturers and installs products for various buildings. They are currently seeking a CAD Technician to join their team; this candidate will work on challenging projects within the building industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
Produce high-quality technical drawings for our clients products, including plans, sections, and detailed drawings, based on client-issued information, survey data, and existing drawings.
Create schematic diagrams required for projects.
Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings.
Provide drawing register and schedule that aligns with the project requirements.
Liaise with architects, engineers, designers, Project Managers and other relevant individual (via email or Teams meeting) to understand the design requirements.
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company protocols.
Confidently navigate, upload, and download project information using Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Asite, Viewpoint for Projects (V4P), and Aconex.
Carry out thorough quality checks on completed drawings to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with the Team Lead, Project Managers, and clients to support timely project delivery.
Skills Required
Extensive knowledge in utilising AutoCAD software – 3 years + required
Experience with different collaborative sites (Asite, V4P, Aconex etc.)
Able to read Architectural / Construction drawings
Able to read survey data
Able to produce Construction drawings
Knowledge in building Construction materials
Highly detail-oriented / Attention to detail
CAD experience in a manufacturing environment
