Calibration Technician / Calibration Engineer

Monday to Friday - Days
Circa £41,000 (DOE) + Bonus & Benefits

The Role
\n
A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Calibration Technician / Calibration Engineer to support its quality and engineering operations.
\n
This is a hands-on, lab-based role focused on managing calibration activities, maintaining procedures and supporting wider engineering and quality teams to ensure equipment and processes meet internal and customer standards.
\n
This opportunity would suit a calibration or metrology professional with a strong electrical or mechanical background who enjoys ownership, accuracy and working to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
\n
\n
Manage and maintain calibration records using CMMS / calibration software
\n
Create, update and implement calibration procedures for a wide range of equipment
\n
Carry out calibration activities to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
\n
Maintain the calibration laboratory to a high professional standard
\n
Respond efficiently to calibration requests from production and engineering teams
\n
Support quality investigations and assist with calibration-related non-conformances
\n
Provide technical support to the wider engineering and manufacturing teams
\n
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation
\n
\n
Requirements:
\n
Essential:
\n
\n
Electrical or Mechanical qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
\n
Proven experience as a Calibration Technician, Calibration Engineer or Metrology Technician
\n
Experience creating and implementing calibration procedures
\n
Confident using CMMS / asset management systems
\n
Able to read and understand engineering drawings
\n
Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
\n
\n
Desirable:
\n
\n
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
\n
Exposure to quality systems or audits
\n
Background in precision, test or instrumentation calibration
\n
\n
