Mydas Recruitment are experts in the sourcing and supply of Engineers to leading organisations.


We have an exciting new contract role available, for a capital projects engineer, based in Belfast.

The successful candidate will work with multifunctional teams to manage budgets, infrastructure & investing in future technologies.


Candidates should have 5+ years experience of experience of:

  • Experience from the manufacturing sector

  • Preparing installation plans and leading full equipment validation

  • Manage stakeholder expectations internally and externally

  • Owning the integration and vertical start-up of new equipment

  • Ensuring training plans and competency assessments are completed

  • Minimising disruption to ongoing operations during integration activities

  • Prepare and adhere to project budget.
  • Build and train the right team for the project.
  • Efficiently acquire and manage project resources.
  • Design work plans based on project requirements and team expertise.

  • Ensuring all equipment meets EHS requirements, international standards, and company policies

  • Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services or Engineering discipline.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to create project plans and schedules.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of H&S compliance, risk assessment, and CDM2015.
