Thornhill House is a small, friendly care home with nursing, situated in the heart of a Peak District village and is created and managed by a charitable trust established by local people for the benefit of the community. The home currently consists of 19 purpose-built rooms, catering for both permanent residents and those seeking respite care. In addition to residential services, Thornhill House also provides a small amount of day care and a meals-on-wheels service for the local area. Alongside the dedicated staff team, there is a network of volunteers who play an important role in supporting the homes activities.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Care Home Manager to lead Thornhill House and ensure the provision of high quality, person-centred care for older people. With upcoming plans to move to a new site expanding capacity to 26 beds and broadening the range of services offered, this position provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to play a key role in shaping the homes ongoing development.

The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, supporting the staff team, and fostering a warm, positive environment in which residents feel respected and valued. We are looking for a hands-on leader who genuinely cares about delivering kind, safe, and personalised care.

The successful candidate will hold a current Registered Nurse qualification, demonstrate substantial experience in care home management, and ideally possess a qualification in care management.
