Category Account Manager – FMCGPeople Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Category Account Manager to join our client who is a well-established and growing FMCG business based in Aston, Birmingham.This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven individual with strong FMCG / retail experience to take ownership of key categories, drive performance, and play a pivotal role in business growth.Working hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5pm Salary: £42,000 per annum Benefits:Your benefits as a Category Account Manager will be: 25 days holiday plus bank holidaysCompany pension schemeLife assuranceFree on-site parkingClear progression opportunities within a growing FMCG business Day-to-day-duties:Your duties as a Category Account Manager will be: Own full P&L responsibility for your category and customer portfolioDeliver sales, margin, and profit targets in line with budgetManage pricing, promotions, forecasting, and range reviewsBuild and maintain strong relationships with retail customers and suppliersAnalyse market and consumer data (Kantar / Nielsen) to identify trendsLead category reviews and present commercially focused insightsDevelop and execute category growth plans, including promotions and merchandisingIdentify and develop new product and packaging opportunitiesManage NPD projects end-to-end, from concept through to launchLead commercial negotiations on pricing and promotional activityPrepare and deliver high-impact presentations to customers and stakeholdersSupport PR and trade activity with retail partnersHost customer and supplier visits (UK and occasional international travel) Essential Skills:The skills required to a Category Account Manager will be: Proven experience in FMCG Account Management or Category ManagementStrong understanding of retail customers (own-label experience highly desirable)Commercially astute with solid P&L ownership experienceAdvanced data analysis and forecasting skillsConfident communicator, presenter, and negotiatorAbility to influence stakeholders across multiple functionsExperience managing or mentoring others is advantageous Training: Industry-related training provided and ongoing support throughout Apply:If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out morePeople Solutions do not charge any candidates fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processJBRP1_UKTJ
