Job Description
Central Operations Officer | Preventr | Bishopsgate, London (Hybrid)
About Us
Preventr is the UK's fastest-growing specialist fire safety group. We manufacture, install, and maintain fire doors and passive fire protection systems across the country — helping housing associations, main contractors, and developers meet their fire safety obligations and protect the people who live and work in their buildings.
Backed by Tandy Ventures and operating across multiple subsidiaries including our own manufacturing arm, we hold leading industry accreditations including BM TRADA Q-Mark, CHAS, and Constructionline Gold. We're growing fast — and we need brilliant people to grow with us.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Central Operations Officer to become the operational heartbeat of the Preventr Group. Reporting to our COO and CFO, you'll work across the full breadth of our business — keeping our fleet moving, our facilities running, our people onboarded smoothly, and our accreditations in order.
This is the kind of role where your impact is felt everywhere. You're the person who makes sure the right van is in the right place, the new starter has everything they need on day one, the HSEQ folder is up to date, and the SharePoint actually makes sense. In short: you make Preventr run.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet management — vehicle leases, servicing, fuel cards, driving licence checks
- Facilities management — premises maintenance, H&S inspections, lease compliance
- IT coordination — managed service provider liaison, telephony, software licences, SharePoint administration
- PPE and equipment — ordering, inventory, and maintenance scheduling
- Insurance administration — renewals, certificates, mid-term changes
- People onboarding — end-to-end process for staff and subcontractors, including DBS and RTW checks
- HSEQ support — policy maintenance, accreditation admin, BM TRADA quality manual upkeep
- KPI and operational data — gathering, compiling, and reporting for management dashboards
- Training coordination — course selection, booking, and record-keeping
- Annual leave and sickness monitoring
- Travel and accommodation booking
- Subcontractor scheduling support
About You
You'll bring a track record of keeping operations running smoothly in a busy, multi-faceted environment. You're someone who:
- Thrives in a varied role where no two days are the same
- Has strong experience in operations, office management, or business support — ideally in construction, FM, or a trade services environment
- Is highly organised and genuinely detail-oriented
- Is a confident Microsoft 365 user, especially SharePoint, Excel, and Teams
- Understands how to manage fleet, facilities, and equipment administration
- Has experience with pre-employment checks and onboarding processes
- Communicates clearly at all levels — from site teams to the boardroom
Bonus points if you have:
- Exposure to ISO 9001, BM TRADA, CHAS, or Constructionline
- Experience supporting HSEQ documentation in a regulated industry
- Background in fire safety, passive fire protection, or specialist contracting
What We Offer
- A genuinely varied, impactful role at the heart of a fast-growing group
- Direct access to senior leadership — you'll work closely with the COO and CFO
- Hybrid working from our Bishopsgate, London base
- The opportunity to grow your career as the business scales
- Competitive salary and package — discussed at interview
- Private Health Insurance & Remote GP Service
- Location:
- City Of London
- Job Type:
- FullTime
