Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant

The Job

Working in schools around Greenwich to support children with SEMH needs who can demonstrate challenging behaviour- your role will be part teaching classroom assistant, and part pastoral support worker.

You will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively- ensuring that the children you will care for are kept on task, helped to manage their behaviour, and to engage and communicate with their peers and teachers.

Skilled in de-escalation and behaviour management, your role will be a rewarding and challenging one, with no day the same as the last!

You'll Be

Experienced working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs Able to hold student attention and communicate effectively in tough situations Able to encourage emotional regulation, and support pupils with SEMH needs to flourish!Remedy
