Salary / package

• £80,000 £95,000 (guide)
• Company bonus + clear progression pathway

This is an autonomous, mostly-remote Chartered Building Surveyor position where youll take full ownership of a varied portfolio across commercial and residential properties (with some exposure to industrial work), covering both professional services and project delivery. Day to day youll be leading inspections and surveys, producing high-quality reports, diagnosing defects, handling dilapidations work, managing party wall matters, and delivering contract administration on refurbishments and fit-out / improvement projects, while coordinating contractors and consultants and acting as the main point of contact for clients from instruction through to close-out. The role suits an MRICS surveyor who can run work independently, manage stakeholder relationships confidently, and is happy to travel across London and the South with a weekly touchpoint in West Malling.

WHAT THEY NEED THEM TO DO (CORE RESPONSIBILITIES)

This is a broad run your own work Building Surveying position covering both professional and project work:

• Lead inspections / surveys across commercial + residential properties
• Produce high-quality reports and technical documentation
• Dilapidations: reporting and associated documentation (likely negotiation exposure depending on experience)
• Defects diagnosis / defect investigations
• Contract Administration (project delivery / refurb & fit-out type instructions included)

• Party Wall matters (experience required)
• Coordinate stakeholders: clients, contractors, consultants, and manage relationships end-to-end
• Project coordination / xbpsjku management experience is a plus (helps with running jobs from start to finish)

MUST-HAVES (NON-NEGOTIABLES)

• MRICS (Chartered)
• Strong, rounded experience across:

• Comfortable working autonomously and leading client relationships
• Experience across commercial and residential workstreams
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to commute to West Malling weekly
