Chartered Building Surveyor

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + £6,700 car allowance + bonus

Type: Full-time, permanent

An opportunity for a Chartered / Senior Building Surveyor to join a growing building surveying team in Birmingham, working across a wide range of commercial and residential instructions.

This is a delivery-focused role with real autonomy, offering exposure to complex projects, strong client contact and the ability to shape your own specialism as you progress.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be delivering a full range of commercial building surveying services, including:

• Contract administration
• Technical due diligence
• Dilapidations
• Building pathology
• General commercial building surveying work in line with a Chartered level role

• You’ll manage instructions end-to-end, build relationships with clients and be trusted to run your own workload.

  
  

  What they’re looking for

  • MRICS with a degree in Building Surveying
  • Strong technical knowledge across commercial buildings
  • Excellent written and report-writing skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, fee-earning environment
  • Solid understanding of building contracts
  • Commercially aware — able to hit fee targets and generate work
  • Comfortable using modern surveying technology
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge
