Our client is a well-established and highly respected engineering consultancy specialising in the design, assessment, and refurbishment of bridge structures across the UK. Working across highway, rail, and pedestrian infrastructure, they are known for delivering technically challenging and innovative solutions.
With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Engineer to take a leading role in shaping projects, teams, and client relationships.
Responsibilities of Chartered Engineer:
You will take a lead position within the engineering team, contributing both technically and commercially. Responsibilities include:
Leading and managing engineers and technicians
Delivering feasibility studies and detailed bridge designs
Liaising directly with clients and stakeholders
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Ensuring projects meet technical, programme, and commercial objectives
The ideal candidate…
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
Minimum 10 years’ experience in bridge engineering
Strong understanding of structural behaviour and analysis
Experience across a range of structural materials and project types
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Familiarity with rail standards (desirable but not essential)
