As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in the kitchen team, helping to deliver exceptional food experiences. You will be responsible for running your designated section, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen with a strong focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional British cuisine. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard in your designated section (such as starters, mains, or desserts) in line with the restaurants menu.
Menu Contribution: Assist in menu development, offering suggestions for seasonal specials and ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and fellow kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
Kitchen Hygiene & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Stock Management: Help monitor stock levels, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ordered when needed.
Training & Mentorship: Support and train junior members of the kitchen team, helping them develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the restaurants standards for taste, presentation, and consistency
Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or within a similar kitchen role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Experience working with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.
Ability to work under pressure during busy services while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.
Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) are desirable.
A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
