We are recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join a popular gastropub in the heart of Chester. This is a great opportunity to work in a friendly, fast-paced kitchen environment focused on seasonal menus, quality ingredients, and strong teamwork. The kitchen serves up to 100 covers per day, offering a vibrant service where every member of the brigade plays a key role in delivering high-quality dishes. About the Role As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your section during service while supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations. This is a hands-on role where consistency, organisation, and teamwork are key. You will be working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, preparing fresh dishes and maintaining high kitchen standards while contributing to an efficient and positive working environment. Whats on Offer £13.00 £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) TRONC tips providing additional earnings Zero hour contract with average hours of 3545 per week Paid overtime for hours worked beyond scheduled shifts Typical shifts 12:00 21:00 (may vary depending on service) 1 weekend off in every 4 to support work-life balance 28 days holiday per year (pro rata) Opportunity to learn and develop within a fresh-food kitchen environment Supportive and experienced kitchen leadership team Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal dishes to a consistently high standard Run your section efficiently during busy service periods Support other sections when required to maintain smooth service Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent guest experiences Candidate Requirements Previous Chef de Partie experience or a strong Commis Chef ready to progress Confidence in fresh food preparation and cooking during service Good communication skills and a strong team-focused attitude Ability to remain organised and efficient in a busy kitchen environment Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required Ideally able to drive or have reliable transport due to location Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) How to Apply If you are a passionate chef looking to join a friendly and professional kitchen where quality food and teamwork matter, we would love to hear from you.
